SUMMARY OF MILITARY OCCUPATIONS: Longshoreman: Loaded and unloaded ships at a dock. Used all kinds of equipment such as winches, hand trucks, and cranes to move the equipment. Opened hatches on the ships and lowered the freight in the hole and then closed the hatch again. Served in European Theater for 22 months.
