28th June Dear Julia It is so long since I heard from you, but when I read a good poem of yours, I want to tell you of it. Your sonnet in Scribner pleases me. Do you know a Miss Reese as a poet? She is beating us all - her poem in July Lippincott is beautiful "Rachel." I send you something about our old duds, people may think we are well off, but we are not. Stoddard grows feeble slowly, he is unable to go about but little, I hang on with a little more vigor. I want to hear about [Larry, Harry ?] what he is doing - My son is very busy with theatrical work
