Dear Miss Bates

I'm afraid you went to a lot of trouble to get the book, but I was glad to see it and to be sure that the cats wouldn't fight -. Many thanks. I am returning this postage, for you mustn't go into bankruptcy just before Christmas. I expect to leave for New York on Saturday, where my address will be 328 E. 42, as before. It was pleasant to see you again, and to be told that you had a good time. I hope everything goes fairly well with you, and that you will somehow get that unpaid salary - which is really too bad.

Yours very truly E.A. Robinson
