My dear Sir
I have had the plea-
sure of receiving your favor of the
22d [ ?]. The rhyme you so
kindly remember appeared in De-
cember 1819 and added stanzas
in 1820 or 1821. I generally
visit New York about the 1st of
every month, and if you will
please inform me when & where
