I hope if you print
"Dust" (and thanks for kind
words about it!), that you
will not forget those little
ideographs. To omit them
would, I think, weaken
the effect intended.
I have MS. enough
in my drawer; but alas,
all condemned! There is
something wrong with them.
Perhaps I shall be able
later to nurse one or two
with life; but I do not
intend to send you any-
thing more that I do
not feel perfectly sure of,
after waiting to let the
first glow of satisfaction
fade out. Perhaps I
may manage to have a
volume finished in time
for publication next fall; - that would mean
MS. all ready by spring.
