West Roxbury 6th Nov 1846
Dear Sir.
Please send to Mr John Chapman
Lenders - 121 Newgate Street. 50 copies of my
Discourse on Religion (folded but not bound.)
If you or Mr [ ?] are sending by the next
steamer, he would like to have them all go in
the same box, to save cost & inconvenience.
Mr C. wishes also 50 copies of [ ?] ( in
the same state). He wants to be the agent for the
sale there - will print a new title page with
his own name etc. But as that is not in my
hands - I can't comply with his request - Perhaps
you can make sure arrangement with him. If
you do not I will try - He thinks he can take 50 or
100 copies at a time & gradually make the book
known in England.
I am
respectfully [ & truly ?]
yours
Theo Parker [Rev, abolitionist]

Messieurs Little & Brown.
