EDITORIAL OFFICE OF The Atlantic Monthly. WINTHROP SQUARE, BOSTON.

Jan. 16, 1879

My dear Sir:

I am only a dramatist by grace of the actor who took a play of mine printed in the magazine.

If the ideas in your paper could be put in form for the Contributors' Club I should be glad to use it there. In that case it must be greatly reduced.

Yours truly

W. D. Howells

Mr. Young.
