Lieut J. H. Massey, Garrison Mess, 301st I.T.C., Oswestry.

Darling Barbara,

I will have to write quickly as the post goes in a few minutes.

I'm afraid there is no alteration in the destination & I am still booked for the Middle East. Four other people arrived with me, & we went straight to see the Adjutant. He was unable to tell me much at all - except that this is one of the Assembly Points for the Draft - & we may be sent off any time. Two days - 4 or 5 days - or anything. So that does not help so very much. I don't know what you will think about

coming up darling. I'm afraid if you did it might just be disappointing. And on the other hand, we may not see each other for so long.

You decide what to do darling.

I hope this will arrive on Monday & I will write again tomorrow.

I cant tell you how I felt leaving you today. It was just too sad for words.

All my love to you sweetheart.

Always your Harry.
