6/ it for granted that I am away from you + there is no point or reason in even trying to think of my return which may be this year next year or just years ahead I just refuse to believe that this awful parting from you can go on for very much longer + I find that the only alternative to believing that is to be in a constant state of expectancy And that is the condition I hope to remain + not for so very much longer either I just could not bear the thought of the alternative Writing you once every 10-14 days + a rather routine sort of letter And not expecting + hoping with all of my being for a letter from you every day I am firmly confident tha this war will be over within a few months + that by some means or other I shall get myself onto a boat which will bring me back to you And if after a few months neither of thise things has happened I hope to remain equally confident that it is still only a matter of weeks or months You said in your last letter my darling how difficult it was for you to think of Lisa happily + how you hoped that the new baby would help you to do this I do hope Max has done + I think perhaps he has from the way you wrote in your p.c.s You sound so happy + content with him I know exactly how you feel about our sweet darling Lisa Almost always when I look at my

8/ it was lovely just here? Well so it was but only for 2-3 weeks Jelly fishes have now arrived in large numbers At first it was only a few but now they are much bigger + so numerous that you are almost certain to be stung - I have been several times + have bow stopped beathing I can just imagine you going into the sea if there was a jelly fish within a mile of you: + it makes me think of the octopus at St Maxime What a heavenly holiday that was- I have mentioned it in my letters before + I expect I shall again I really think it was the peak of our like together We had a lovely holiday- we were terribly happy together Lisa was with your mother + well + happy another baby was coming the bonus was paying for our holiday - I had just had a raise Just think about that marvellous holiday darling All the fun + love we had I can + do think for hours about it Langoustines your yellow bathing costume- moon tigers the bidet Frank Scott avalanche d'ors d'oeuvres that new beach on the last day - Hank + the fannies - Paris - War + Peace - while ladies Howard a l'Americains Et Raphael - oh + a hundred + one things It will + must all come again And we will I am certain get even more fun + happiness out of it But if only we could have the opportunity Oh darling you must believe + hope with me that it will be soon All my love- more + more + always a big kiss to Mom XXXX Harry
