The only problem is they are full over Xmas week end. She said she had two children of her own & there was always someone "bobbing about upstairs", who would look in & report any troubles.

I do hope you can come over next Sunday. It is lovely to know that you are going on apparently so well. I hope & pray that you will make a really good recovery & feel well & strong & in good spirits after you come out of the home. Lisa & I must see that

I am going over to see Patty & Jos tomorrow for lunch & so on - I am looking forward to seeing them again. Pat was very sorry to hear about what had happened & sends you her best love & wishes. She was also very thrilled to hear that you were coming over here.

10. frightfully decent & kind about our misfortunes. The these people here, of course - they are nice fellows & quite good friends by now. But other people from whom I did not expect it - & particularly the C.O. He drew me on one side on Thursday at Darland, & was very kind indeed & put his sympathy in a most gentle way, which I really did appreciate - he also sent his wishes & so on to you. Quite surprising, while I am on the subject of kindness. I do want to mention your mother. In a short time I shall write to her - but she is such a one for saying "Oh, go on with your nonsense" - or words to that effect, that I feel at a distinct
