Regarding Williams trunk: I had my Uncle in the 10th
Vermont Regiment who died & was buried at City Point last June.
By request of my Aunt as soon as I go home & am mustered
out of Service I expect to return to Washington & go to City Point
to obtain the remains of my Uncle at which time I think I will
find & send to you Williams trunk and also should be happy to
render you any assistance in my power in obtaining the remains
of my departed friend William : -

Again assuring you of my sympathy for & with you always

I remain Truly
