Stowe Mar. 25th 1864.

Esteemed Friend:

I have lately heard that Willie has been released and is now in Maryland. If I had his address I would write to him.

I suppose he is at Parole Camp Annapolis. Has he been exchanged or paroled? How is his health? Will you please write me soon and let me know all you can in regard to him.

I have gained nicely since you were here. I now have my clothes on and sit up considerably. Am really getting to be somebody again. I have to be very careful as my stump is very tender.

I am going to have a ride this morning.

With best wishes

I am as ever

Your Friend Henry
