there is no need of my asking a hundred and one questions a bout things at home but just when you write please tell about everything as you know that it will interest me very much as supper is nearly ready I will close please excuse this write often to thy son

2nd day morn - Horace went up home last night - said they were all well - and tell mother they were getting along nicely - aunt P. starts tomorrow.

Dear Mother

Thee may think strange in my writing today as I wrote to Thomas last week but Timothy came out last night and has just gonn back and he said he had not time to write to thee today and so he wished me to write and say that he was well, healthy and hardy as need bee, you wished to know if he looked like that

photograph that he sent home as for that I can say that he looks no more like that than I do he is as fat as a [cub?] and looks just as he did when he lift home only more so. The first week after I left home I felt pretty well but since that untill today I have had a pretty hard run of the diaree last week didnot do a thing lay flat in the bed most of the time but today I feel quite smart expect to go to work tomorro. went to church today and heard about the [shimest?] sermon that I ever did hear. have not seem much Kansas yet

it is very dry and dusty now. the grass looks green and nice. uncle just fetched in a handful of flowers. the peach trees are in full blossom now which would be rather early in Vermont I guess.

Timothy expects that his herd will be broken up soon he does not know what he will go to doing then but will come back to the farn unless he can get a good chance as a wagon maste to go acrost the planes and if he does and if I can have a good place I think some of going with hin but cant tell so long before hand
