Providence 6th Month 21th 1861

Dear Cousin
R. B. Stevens

I had intended
to have written thee some time since
in relation to our usual supply of Butter,
but have been waiting to see our friends
who unite with us in the order for the
same, & whom we saw last week - and
now have concluded to request thee
to send us the same quantity as thee
sent us last fall. (Viz. six packages of
about 50 or 60# Each) and please have
them marked No. 1,2,3,4,5,6 with the
weight of each marked on the tub
against the number, and please send
a bill corresponding with nos. and weight
which will enable us to divide them without
trouble - and for fear that in these times
of low prices, I may, (if thee should
trust to me as thee did last fall to fix
the price) lean to too much to my own
