night slept all the time he was not hickoping we staid untill yesterday noon he had [recruted?] so as to take a little broth & seemed like to recovering in some measure from this the rest of our friends about here in usual health our dear little grand baby grows finely & I guess we love it some

I believe it is about time to close & will send thee the picture of our [prety?] faces to paste on some cards, with sincere love to thee & all enqu [ineinage?] friends & shall look for a letter from thee soon

Being one of a committee that was appointed by our monthly [?] to consider of the propriety of continueing the Meeting at your place & the time having arrived for us to report I thought I should be better satisfied with myself, to make a little enquiery in regard to your feeling on the subject, by the help of the pen. I should be very sorry to propose the continuation of the Meeting if I thought it was burthensome to the children of those dear ones who so faithfully & joyefully & exceptably met together to set down in quiet retirement & meditate devotionally, on the many blessings received by our universal parent & to unitedly ask for a

continuation of his blessings, & who have gone to there everlasting homes in Heaven rejoiceing, but I trust the meeting is far from being a burthen to you but still the smallness of your number may make you feel discouraged some times & the cause to make any change pleas write immediatelly after receiveing this as next week is our Monthly Meeting.

I suppose thee heard the account of the Y Meeting by our Friends H. [Perrson?] & Bersheba G. Herendean. Rufus & myself spent two weeks after yearly meeting visiting our relatives south which we enjoyed very much haveing prety good health & fine weather. my brother inlaw from Queensburg went with us as far west as Johnstown to visit my sister & her children it had been 5 or 6 year since I had seen her. since our return

we have had enough to busy ourselves a bout so I trust we shallnot entirely rust out alltho we are releised from the care of the farm. James & Mary do the work to suit us we have no dificulty with them but there dont seem to be any market for butter or cheese here. Mary's cheese looks nice they have 60 on hand & [7?] tubs of butter which of course makes mony scarse but we dont feel it as much as if we wer indebt, we only have to keep quiet & try to pay our diferent taxes. last week 3d day Rufus went to visit Simon Green found him to his fathers. I went to visit Ruth Holmes. Andrew has gone to Montreall with Gilbert Holmes. we came home fourth day. sixth day morning aunt Sarah Hazard sent for us. unkle was more unwell. they thought perhaps not likely to live but a very little while he was taken vomiting lain very low all
