Letter from the Robinson Family papers, dated 1870-02-11

E. M. 2d [no.?] 11th. 1870.

My dear sis,

Am I silly as I can be for sending a letter after thee so quickly? The more I think of it the more I am sure cousin Rowland E - meant for me not to tell thee of the moonlight beauty if so wont he think me stupid enough to be no sister of thine - but then he might know I should tell thee every thing. Oh is nt this a perfectly glorious morning - I hope thee is safely on thy winding ways - with dear aunt Paulina snugly [tided] up

by thy side - I know how loudly my heart singe of joy and peace as thee [flis] by the "rocks and teh moun tains" - [Thindring] of the warm heart that will gree thee at thy journey's end - ((unless Geo. meets thee at the depot)) I hope in this cup of love thee will find no bitter dregs of disappointment.

After having thee yesterday, the sheet affair and the O. A. concern so tossed my mind about that I was in a thoroughly unchristian modd for one hour certain - did she blow after I came away? I believe that last night I could have put every dud she has got in the house and in the snow.

At this juncture tho. came for me to go to the village and here I am - waiting for Jane to get ready - the baby is ready - This letter of Mr. Oneull's I just got from the P. O. I will put it in with mine - I should like to konw what it says _ Done let me foget to tell thee [Wat] today if aunt Mary's things were out of doors, I should bring them in I think if thee wanted to thee could tell Old thee needed no greater proof of his being just what he has not professed to be - than his refusing to return thy Cutters when thee asked him to - I dont see what [housel]

he can make thee - for as thee said - he is all the while a married man - O my what will be done with him Here are in Hersey's shop trying for a picture H is nt willing to take tintypes - but thinks we have a pretty good neg - for a photo - fare welly deary love from sis M
