The application in the case of William B Stevens Co G. 4th Regt Vt vol Died June 11th 1864 has been received. It appears to be correct, and will be settled as soon as reached in its turn, if the Muster and Pay Rolls can then be obtained. These rolls, however, are not made up until after the soldier's death, and may not be accessible to this Office for several months.
The claim will be disposed of as early as possible, and the result communicated to you.
