Part II

I didn't want you to get the surprise right off. I want
ed to keep you in suspense for just a little while
you know about it by now, but just in case you
don't know. Helen has a baby three weeks old. Cather
ine didn't remember what it is a girl or boy but
it was born in L. Richardson Hospital. Jessie
is expected down here the last of this month.
Charles has a discharge from the Navy and Alice
doesn't get that money anymore. And that is
news of the family. We are expecting business to
increase. It is slow tonight however and to-
night is Sunday night. We have a house full
at 908 but no new business at 732 Julian St.
Just now we are dreaming of a new plan as
well as dreaming of a remodeled house. When
we complete our house plans I am going to
send them to you. We fed eleven soldiers last
night who are going to be at O.R.D. One
said that he is draging his wife everywhere that
he goes as long as he can. So he said that if he
stays he will want a room at 732. Gertrude isn't
working at all these days as Mr. Champion has
gone home. He had a terrible cold I don't know
if he plans to return or not. I hope not. I am
going to take the mattress out to try to have it
