help of my smaller sisters who would pull up the grass as I would dig it up.
In a few days I worked my garden again, hilling the tomatoes and grassing my snap beans.
On June sixteenth (16th) I had my garden worked the last time. It was ploughed with turning plow follwed by a cultivator.
By this time my furits were grown and ripening.
My garden was comparatively good I think, having no very damaging diseases. Although I had a few Irish Potato bugs at first, eating my plants, but while working them I caught and killed them.
I was very busy during part of the canning season, and I hope my tomatoes next year shall be much larger, sweeter, and redder than any I ever raised before. This being my third year in the club.
[illegible] End.
