My Experience in the Canning Club Work.

Our club was organized last year with only eight members. These eight members were very much interested in the work and with the help of the Agent, Miss Nin [?] Boney, bought a canner.

My sister was a member and she enjoyed the work so much and had such good luck with the fruits and vegetables that she canned until I decided to join the club this year. We certainly did enjoy the fruit last winter that she canned last summer, especially the beans, peas, corn, okra, etc, which we could not keep very well in glass jars [before this.]

This year the number of members were increased from eight to fifty.
