[Image of a yellow and orange peach hanging from a tree branch.]
I did not can very many peaches as our trees did not bear as they usually do. Papa bought a good many and I had grand success with what I canned. I did not lose a can. I canned fresh and sweet pickle peaches. Those we canned last year in tin cans were just like they were when they were gathered. They tased much better than those in the glass jars.

Our apple trees were loaded with fruit this year and we canned and dried a good many. Our apples that we canned in glass are just as white and pretty and of course they will taste as well this winter as they [?] look.
