Hearing of his distress about the want of means to meet the payment
of the cabins, reassuring him and asking him to draw upon Bishop
Polk for the amount he estimates is necessary. 1 p.

Concern over the map being completed by the time of the meeting,
stating that he had been informed by a gentleman that quite a
number of families desire to know when our lands will be ready
to be offered; suggesting that trees be cut on the views so as
to open up the views over the valley; hoping to be on the Mountain
by the 5th of August, and that he is working on the endowment.
