to be heaved up at 4-30. Chief
Officer to be called, as it is
his duty to superintend that
item. At 5 o'c. we were well
under way. There are a
great number of shipbuilding
yards on the Clyde, and
vesels of every tonnage, shape
and character are to be seen
here from the initial stage
to the finished, battleships,
torpedo craft, liners, tramps,
oil-tankers, turret ships and
palatial yachs in cream and
gold. At 7-30 we stopped out
side the Queens Dock and slewed
round, and another hour saw
