stay at the Clark house unless thee
finds the weather etc more propitious
than now

As to the [Winecook?] scheme I do not
think it would be advisable to go there
for I am hoping to find stuff to do
at Sandy and the time would be too
broken up. The understanding with
Bacon is that John will be in his
office on board wager- just what
that means I have not got down to
brass tacks. Bacon will be away for
part of the summer on a western trip
but he has good men in his office
& the experience will be valuable. If
J. can use Fred's rooms it will be
helpful but I think he ought not
to count on it. It is bad for the moral.
