Idlewilde July 18th 1891

About half of the members of this Enterprise Club met at the farm. After taking a short walk we adjouned to Alloway where nearly all of the members were found awaiting the arrival of those who had visited our host. We found that our host is still raising a few high grade Durham cattle; as usual with him the size & quality were both good._ The Potatoes were in fine condition: showing that all had been done that the owner could do. to insure a good yeild.- As far as our walk extended every thing appeared to be in its proper place Perhaps the absence of Children may in a measure account for the extreme neatness of the farm. - Our president being absent Charles E. Bond was called on to fill his place as this meeting. -- After reading the minutes of the last meeting the following questions were asked and answered. --

{1st Ques} What table wishes to know whether or not to fill his 2 year old steer this fall or to feed for the June Market?-- {Ans} This question was very fully discussed but the sentiment was about equally divided as to the time to sell. {2 Ques }What is a fair price to charge for the pasture of a town horse? -- {Ans} $5. pr month. {3. Ques} what do you think of cutting our a part of corn tassells to increase the yield? {Ans }Those present could give the information but the hope was expressed that experiment would be tried. {4. Ques} What constitutes legal notice to a monthly tenent? {Ans} A notice, read by a third party to vacate in 30 days. -- {5. Ques} Several of my cattle have sore eyes what is the cause? & remedy. {Ans} Nothing known of Cause or Remedy.
