Prof. Simons, P. Bombeige from College Park,
Dr. Thomas, R. Bringham, Edw. Snowden, J.W. Jones,
E. C. Thomas, F. Snowden, Mort. Stabler, Albert
Wilson, and F. L. Thomas. Absent members were
Wm Canby and Arthur Stabler.

We assembled again and had the report of the
committee on the milk bills legislation, which
was appointed at our last meeting.

After a splendid supper and social talk we
again took up the business of the evening.
Mort. Stabler brought up the question as to
what the Club thought of the method of appointing
the proposed State Board of Agriculture. He seemed
to think that by having them appointed by the
Goernor was giving that particular official
a decided potential pull in the college which
was the main thing the State was trying
to avoid in the new board. Prof. Bombeige took
this matter up later and backed by the general
opinion of the Club seemed to think that the
proposed method was the best that could be
devised at the present time.

At our last meeting. S. P T. asked to have an hour
of the Club's time to give to some outside speakers
which request was granted. Prof. Simons spoke
first of the relation of this Club and the neighborhood
to the Maryland Week Exhibition. He brought
out very plainly what power in good this
community has been to the Agriculture of the
state. His remarks were seconded by Mr. [Moise?]
who said this neighborhood was used as an
example all over the U.S. leading the East in the
