Sir

Since my last nothing has occured
worthy of communicating to you, I hope this which informs
you of my health, will find you & family & all Friends
in the same - I have inclosed you a letter
for Mr. Johnston which came here by the post. -
We have shipt 100 hhds Tobacco for Philadelphia
and I flatter myself we shall make a very
hansome profit on it, from the best accounts recd
from there says, Tobacco is from 7/2 @ 8dollars [$6?].

I Beg you wont forget to Send one of the Boys
if you can make it convenient to spare him, by the
first good opportunity - I am truly affected when
I inform you of the death of Mr. Allens little son
and also of the same unhappy event taking place
in Mr. Littlejohns family, who desires his best
compliments to you & family.
