Dear Sir
There is of record here
a deed from F. Surget to William L. Balfour
writing that Fard had held possession under him,
and that he Surget had purchased under executions
in the hands of the U.S. Marshall for the
Southern district, and of the Sheriff of this county.

This deed bears date Decr. 16th 1844 and
it conveys only land. To wit the "[Goosery plane?]"
or "golden [planers?]" not a word is said about Stock
in the deed The Executions were against the
Planters Bank of Mississippi.
