Length of channel from the canal to the Eesun River 9000 feet
Total fall from bed of canal to bed of Eesun 5.42 feet
Tail slope at escape head 1.00
Slope at 1.5 ft. per mile 2.55

Balance - superfluous slope 1.87 feet

It is doubtful whether it
may be necessary to build perm-
-anent works on this line for
the protection of the bed slopes,
as during floods the high water
in the Eesun wil stand well
back in the escape channel; the
superpassage for the left main
Rajbuha, however, must as usual
cross the escape, and it will be
equally necessary for the conve-
-nience of the agricultural
community to build a bridge.
The same plan therefore, will be
adopted here, as has elsewhere
been put in practice; viz.: the
superpassage with a bridge, the
downstream tail of which will
be terminated by a fall sufficient
to overcome the excess of slope,
and to adapt the channel to
the passage of water during
the dry weather, without the
inconvenience of wear and tear.
I have when describing the
Cawnpoor Terminal Line pointed
out that the additional supply
of water which the Nugureea
Escape gives to the Eesun, will
make an increase of water
way to a bridge built over the
river near the town of Mynpoori
[necessary, struck through] very desirable; the bridge itself which
is on the high Military Road
between Mynpoori and Agra
has for the last 20 years been
in
