Dear Sir

This is to Protest
against the carrying out of the Death
Sentence Pronounced on Joseph Hillstrom by
the Courts of the State of utah
the carrying out of this Sentence would
in my opinion be by far a more atrocious
crime than the one charged against
Hillstorm who I am Firmly Convinced
is an innocent man. I arrived at this
conclusion after a Thorough Study of the
Evidence Presented by the State
Taking the Life of an innocent man is
Equivalent to taking the Life of a New Born
Babe and I protest against it alone
and call on you as a man believing in
Justice and Fairness to exercise the
Power vested in you as Governor
