what we want in President Grant's message through Mr. Green. He is the most intimate friend of Genl Grants most intimate friend, Mr. Borie of Phila. Mrs. Green, as you know has quite a large interest in the claims, & he (Mr. G.) Would do almost anything to serve her. - so if you will indicate something that you think will cover our wants we will try what can be done through Mr. Green.

If we can accomplish it in that way it will be much better than availing of the aid of politicians through whom we can no doubt manage it or at any rate through Mr. Fish.

Please let us know if you think well of this suggestion & we will write Mr. G. at once.

Truly yours
