Ringrose Junr enclosing for my inspection
an account rendered to him by Mr Hoard
chief officer at the Coast Guard Station
Sandlemere, in respect of Services rendered
by himself and men to the Dutch Galliott
"Martha Alida" stranded at that place
on the 11 Inst, amounting to £9. 5. 0
which account I also annex viz:
For services of [men] £9: 0: 0
Fort Cart to convey men £0: 5: 0
£9: 5: 0
Mr Ringrose states that the Services of Mr Hoad
and his men were prompt and effectual
and requests to be informed whether, as
all payments in this matter will come
under a general average - the claim
is a legitimate one, Mr Ringrose having
deposited the said £9: 5: 0 in
my hands - I will thank you to make
inquiry and report the nature of
the Services to the Controller General
of the Coast Guard, - and obtain his
directions as to the disposal of the said
sum
