Sir, 20th Decbr 1858,
The enclosed letter signed by Jane
Longford, South Shields was found in the pocket of some
seamens Clothing which were washed a shore at Holmpton
about the 9th Novr last and which are now in the custody
of the Coast Guard at that Station. I beg to Enclose it to
you in the hope that you may succeed in tracing the
writer and in delivering it to her.
