We have sent you this year thirty hhd. [hundred] of Tobo. [tobacco] by Malbon fourty two by Bradby thirty seven by lane, thirteen by Micajah & Philip, and the rest by Capt [Captain] Banks and Dove. The Invoice of goods which accompany this contains only such things as we judged absolutely necessary for the support of the Family, and we please ourselves with the Expectation of your sending them and paying these Bills, which not our Own Interest but the Misfortunes of our Common Friend have obliged us to trouble you with.

Nothing could be more agreeable than y' Letter of the expressing the kindest Remembrance of your friendship with our Deceased Father and making an offer of the same to us who are desirous to cultivate it by all Opportunities. If this should carry more than the Appearance of Compliment than Sincerity, when we have been drawing great part of our Money out of your hands. We beg of you to consider, besides our own Occasions, the Necessity we are under of making a Distributation of Personal Estate that has fallen in to our Management.
