amounting to three hundred, sixty eight pounds, seventeen Shillings & seven pence, which we desire you to pay & place to Account of our Father Robert Carter [jenrs.?] Estate; After these Bills are paid: & The last Dividend on the Bank stock; & The Transfer of one Hundred & six pounds, ten shilling & seven pence, from the Estate of Robert Carter [junr.] are placed to the Credit of our Fathers Estate, we reakon [reckon] the Balance in your hands will be one hundred & [illegible] pounds. But we desire a New Accot. [Account] Current from you as soon as you can; & are

Sir:
We do hereby own the Recept [Receipt] of the Account Current of our Fathers Estate dated Jan. 8 1736. the balance then due to us being twenty two pounds, eight Shillings & three pence half penny in which, as yet, we discover no Error. Having Occasion to use what money may be in your hands we value our selves [ourselves] at the rate of five pounds per hhds on the twelve hhds of Tobaco[Tobacco], not yet Accounted for: and so have this day drawn on you to William Prentis for eighty two pounds eight Shillings & three pence half penny; which we desire you to pay for Accot. [Account] of our Fathers Estate, and send us our New Accot. [Account] Current as soon as you can, the balance of which we imagine will be something in our favor. We are
