Sir,

I have just now writ to you, to serve as an Explanation of the Bills of Exchange drawn on Colonel Pages Estate's Acco.' g [Accounting] it is necessary that something should also be be said for that drawn on my own the 20th of last month payable to Mr. Willian Prentis for Two hundred forty four seventeen shilling and eight pence. But as the Explanation will be best made by an Account stated. I have sent one inclosed, wherein I have valued the twenty [hhds?] by the Micajah and Philip at no greater [illegible] than seven pounds ahhd. If you think me too early in this Draft before I hear any thing of the Tobacco being sold you must inpute it to the necessity I found my self under of paying my Debts. I had almost forgot the Paint you sent me this year Amounting to about Elevem pounds, when I drew this Bill. But as my Brother Charles and I have writ to you to give my accot. [Account] Credit for one half of the Balance due to my Fathers Estate after paying the Bills drawn on that Accot. [Account] I hope all Difficult will removed. In the same Letter you was Desired in case my Brother George should have a right to fifteen hundred pounds Bank Stock, to make a Transfer to him of the same and on the other hand if it should be determined he has a right to no more than fifteen hundred pounds Sterling. I desire that so much of the Bank stock my be sold as will [sinable?] you to pay that sum and that it may be paid to him taking his receipt in which he is to allow our Charge of three hundred fifty nine pounds, fourteen shilling, and ten pence half penny. You have already our desired to give my Accot. [Account] Credit for thirteen hundred & five pounds Seventeen shilling, and a penny Bank stock, and than if my Brother George has no right
