and write you more fully upon the subject yours inclosing sails for the estates Tobo. from [illegible] = mack are come to hand and tho' I am sorry they[crossed out] they are not nett more and [illegible] our expectations yet am satisfied they were made the most of - I have given my word & honour to discharge a debt due from the estate amounting to near twelve hundred pounds current money in the Latter End of the ensuing [apriel?] General Court at which times I must apply to your house for that sum and when I expect the good ship Justitia will be on her way home, as usual you will have all the estates Tobo. this year the quantity I can not now ascertain but believe you may venture to insure seventy hhds on board Somervell to receive eight pounds per hhd in case of Loss - our crops in general (thruought?) the country fall very short, of which I suppose you will be informed by many of you correspondents; this you Will say. may possibly turn out to the benefit of the colony, as therby, the staple may continue to hold up its head so much the longer, but really I am so very unlucky where I am principally concerned in it that I am almost determined to appropriate at least a part of my Estate. so some of them use -

Your offers of friendship in general terms, I am extremely obliged to you for but to speak plainly, there are valuable tracks of land exposed so sale in our poor country every day and should I bid for some of them boldly, will you advance a large sum for me to receive a lawfull interest for it -

I am charged with a (seine & fathom long?)- & six feet deep at L4 -- which is come in without Rope lead or corks I must therefore beg the favour of you to send by the first opportunity such as are proper for the seine-

Gent Coronomen Febry 25th 1767

Inclosed is a bill of Loading for nine hhds which you will receive by the seeds, it was made upon fresh land near the mountains. I flatter myself will meet your approbation; especially, as the crop throughout the Country are generally short this year, which must contribute towards keeping up a tolerable price for our staple a few years longer. altho' I do imagine that good Tob. will always comand an agreeable Price however glutted the market may be - I have hitherto met with (genteel?) treatment from your house and therefore
