which balance you will please to take their Acct for and oblige me. The above sum of L29.8.20 is the produce of the six hhds Tobo consign to them by the [cattle?] Anthony.

Inclosed is a bill of loading for my Tobo in the Justitia which falls short of the quantity I intended, by two hhds owing to a neglect in my overssers which I hope will be remedied another year.

I flatter myself Capt Somerville will arrive to a good market as he is one of the first ships for London and that his cargo will make amends for [crossed out] trash you received the last year.

I purchased some [ognabigs?] of Somarville to the amount of L17.9.110 for which he demands only 15 perct [percent] sterling. I think it very reasonable and therefore must desire you will pay him at least that advances upon his first cost- These are larger draughts than I intended to have made upon my first consignment however hope it will not be inconvenient for you to answer them what ever Tobo. of Chars. Carters estate is not shipt in the Justitia you will have by your other ship I am gentlemen with great respect yr very Humble Servant

I am now set down to answer yr long letter by the Everton, but can not find it in my heart to say anything agreeable. The great Disappointment yr Correspondents met with from not having, [crossed out] anything than last year, as well as the very great Expence [expense] they were put to for thin family Goods, I flatter'd myself would have been amply compensated to them, now, by a living Price for thin Tobo and a full Compliance of their Invoices but instead of Satisfaction, I hear [crossed out] Complaints, from [crossed out] every body, that you have given them nothing for their Tobo. and [crossed out], that you have curtail'd thin Invoices at least one half, _ Agreeable with yr [acquest?], I [crossed out] have mention'd [mentioned] to several yr reason's for not sending a Ship to Virga [Virginia?] the last year which avail very little, & your excuse for [crossed out] bad sales, they they say is trifling because Mr. Bash house & other merchts. from Liverpoole
