may be, and in time certainly will be, eliminated. The
continuance of the Democratic party in power will be
imperiled, probably abruptly terminated, and its program
of economic progress rendered impossible of execution.

I beg of you to pause, before it is too late.
Rescind the action so lately taken in the departments.
Leave things as they were. This is the only Christian
thing to do, and it happens to coincide with the dictates
of political wisdom.
