The Writ of error - The State of Alabama, Limestone County
To Thomas G Tyus Register of the Chancery Court in and for the thirty
first Chancery District, Northern Chancery Division of the State of Alabama
Greeting
Because in the records and proceedings and also in the renderings
of a final decree, in a cause which was in our Chancery Court for said District
before the Chancellor thereof, between John Harden Complainant and
Susan Hardin defendant late of said District on a Bill for Divorce,
manifest Error hath intervened to the great damage of the said complainant
as we are informed, we being willing that error if any there be should in due
manner be corrected, and full and speedy justice done to the parties
aforesaid in this behalf do Command you , that if a final decree be thereon
rendered. then you send to our judges of the Supreme Court of the said state
distinctly the records and proceedings of the said Bill for Divorce with all
things concerning the same , under your seal and this writ so that we may
have them there at the next Term of our said Supreme Court to be held for
the said Statee , at the City of Montgomery on the first Monday in January
next , that the record and proceedings aforesaid be inspected , we may cause
to be same thereupon for correcting the said Error what of right and according
to the customs, law and equity of the State of Alabama ought to be done
