of the Bank of the State of Alabama at Montgomery or order twelve thousand
one hundred & Seventy 05/100 dollars for value received negociable and payable
at Said Bank Peter C Harris

This indention made and entered into by and between Peter C Harris of
the one part and Marshall H Hooks of the other part. Witnesseth that
the Said Peter C Harris for and in consideration of the Sum of One
dollar to him in hand paid and for the further consideration herein after
mentioned by the Said Marshall H Hooks has granted bargained and
Sold and by these present do grant bargain and Sell unto the Said Mar-
Shall H Hooks in trust and for the purposes hereinafter expressed the
following described real estate and personal property as follows the South
half of Section nineteen in township Sixteen and of range twenty five Section
thirty and South half of Section twenty in township Sixteen and of Range twenty
five house and lot in Tuskegee upon which the Said Harris now resides
containing two acres also the following named negro Slaves Albert Breton
Settle, Ben, Calvin, George, Joshua, Levi, Wright Willis, Marshall, Simon
Oliver, Elias, Bob Clark, Jesse, Henry, Ned, Hambleton McIven, Celia
Cintha, Ester, Evaline, Eunice Indo, Juno, Julia, Henrietta, Lotty, Louisa,
Jenny, Mary, Mariah, Balouno, Mariah Wilson, Marinda, Nelly,
Rose, Louisa, Ellen, Susan, Martha, Catharine, Parallee, Amanda, Betty
Nancy, Mahala, Massey; To have and to hold the above described prop-
erty to the Said Marshall H Hooks in trust and for the purposes hereinafter
expressed, and the deed is made upon the condition and for the purposes
herein after expressed and for no other pruposes, In that Said Marshall
H Hooks is to take Said property into his possesion in the event tht Judge-
ment Should be rendered against him on a certain promissory note described
as follows
