Enquires

Know ye that we having full
faith in your prudence and [compency?]
have appointed you commissioners
and by those present do authorize you
or any one or more of you at such
time and place as you may appoint
to call before you, and examine John
McDonald, William Miller, Levi Lavenberg
& James B. Stephens as witnesses
in a cause pending in our Chancery
Court of Lowndes County wherein Lucy
Hunley is complainant and Caroline
M. Hunley et al are defendants, on
Oath to be by you administered whose
Interrogatories annexed to this comission
witnesses and return the Same to our
Said Court to be holden on the 3rd Monday
in the present month under your
hands and Seals.
