The Office of the Superintendent
of Education is, as I understand,
about to be vacated by the present
incumbent Wm. F Perry Esq.

Some friends have suggested to me
to apply for the position. May I ask
you, if it is in entire accordance with
your arrangements, to suspend any
appointment until your visit to
Marion, which I am informed, will
occur soon.

Mr. Perry is aware of this
communication.
