Dear Sir Enclosed I send you the petition of some of the most respectable persons in Russell County for the pardon of George W Carden who has now been in the Penitentiary nearly three years (He was sen-tenced for six). We learn that he has been & still is faithful and reliable convict. On behalf of the persons whose names are signed thereto I send the Petition.
