purchase arms & accoutrements you
will not expend more than thirty[?]
thousand dollars without further orders

You will purchase 6 cannon 6
pounders—Three hundred Adams
or Colts ^Navy^ Pistols— Cannon
balls 3/4 of them for six pounders
and 1/4 for 12 pounders—These to
be purchased first—the balance
to be applied to the purchase
of Mennie Muskets & Rifles, an
equal number of each if they
can be found
