President of the Convention of Alabama
Sir:
The Governor of this State has received your
letter of the 11^th January enclosing a copy
of the Ordenance " to dissolve the Union between
the State of Alabama and the other States United under
the compact styled the United States of America"
which he has directed and thus to acknowledge.
