Hon A H Stephens
Dear Sir
I have heard nothing from
you since left here. All well except Dora & Harry
they have had measles - Dora has not been much
sick - Harry was quite ill for two or three days
but is now much better and I hope will be quite
well in a few days - - Harry says the hands at the
plantation commenced pulling fodder this
morning. We have had no rain since you
left but the weather has turned cool. This morning
the thermometer was down to 66°.

Nothing new about town - the citizens generally
well - Jack Hackney's man John died Friday
[A.G. Stephens?] reached home Saturday
Write soon Yours truly
