Dear Nettie:

Just a note to say I am leaving
for the line tonight and that I want you to
write, because life over here is made possible
by the receiving of letters

I wrote oliver this morning and
told him of the move

There is a fellow in the tent named
Jim Brooks, and he says he used to work
for Bill Kerslade on the 10th concession.

He says he knows Uncle Scott and the
boys

Will write you when I get up
the line, but you know Sis we are not
allowed to say very much

Remember me to the folks and give my
love to all
