#5 Sackville Rd Bexhill-on-Sea Sept 15th /18 Dear Sis:- Have just got time to write about two lines re Oliver, but no doubt you will know more about him than I do so I just heard last night that he had been slightly wounded. I will write to the Record office in London tomorrow + try to get his location. I just wanted you to see that there is no undue worrying at home as if it is a slight wound (probably bullet) he will have a nice , cozy, clean bed which means a good rest -- for some time to come. There is bound to be heavier fighting yet this year, and am confident he will escape that, so that you can well afford to consider him lucky. Suppose you know why I'm here, but if not, haven't time to tell you now as this school + its methods are about as close to perpetual motion as scientists will eve reach, hence the hurry. Our day starts at 5/30 am + during the

2/ last week it has lasted every night until midnight or after. Hope you will pardon me for not writing sooner to offer you my best wishes, but nevertheless guess you knew you had them. I wish you and your fortunate husband a long successful life, and a large family. Don't forget the family, as Lord only knows they are going to be needed in the sweet bye + bye. If by any chance you want to send any instructions address me as Cadet J.A.M. Canadian Training School, #5 Company Bexhill-on-Sea, England.
Will try to write you during the week but if I can't -- don't be offended. You may be sure that I will do all I can to get trace of Oliver, and all I can for him once I find him. Please remember me to all and don't let them WORRY -- use a club if necessary. Best wishes to you + yours. Your aff. cousin, Jack
