my letter to her as I have not time to
write much more.
I hope you two are well settled and
as happy as larks. I had many laughs
about June 12th, you know, joyous laughs
but do you know [crossed out word] they should not have
sent me that menu list; we bash men
on the heads here when they begin raving
about chicken and lemon pies and ice cream,
etc.
Too bad you felt sick going up to
Blyth. I knew you would, however.
It would be good to hear aunt Jessie's
laugh. How did the car navigate? You did
not break the horn again tooting too loudly?
I wrote to Florence Watson a few days
ago (about ten days.).
Well kiddo I must close and I
promise you and Charlie a better letter
next time. I must be up and doing.
With heaps of love and good wishes for you
both.
Your loving brother
Oliver.
